I am an artist working with oil and cold wax, which allows for flexibility of shape and texture. I create spaces I'd like to stand in [a lush landscape], objects I'd like to hold [a beautiful flower], or inspiring ideas [a favorite memory]. I have lived in several states—New Jersey, Alabama, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. And I have lived in various environments—the city, the suburbs, and small towns. Each of these experiences comes through in my work.
After decades in the digital arts, I relish filling my studio with tactile forms. Every day I have the opportunity to paint and create is a good day.
Birch panels and archival paper are my canvases. Wood paintings are finished and ready to hang, and paintings on paper are presented unframed.
